About Us
After making the big decisions to leave their demanding professional careers, Suzy Clasby and Sandy Nolan-Cronin both took up repurposing and refinishing older, well-built furniture. Not only did it save beautiful pieces from landfills, it also proved to be quite therapeutic as they planned their next chapters of their lives. With skills developed and confidence gained, both women became vendors at Salvage Angel, a Norwood shop with a great reputation. That’s where they met. It wasn’t long before conversations started to ignite dreams of owning their own shop. When Covid hit and the World shut down, those conversations became plans that then turned into reality when they signed a lease and took on their largest project ever! With the help of their husbands, family, and friends, Rekindled Home was born on October 30, 2020 when they opened their doors and welcomed in the public.
SANDY NOLAN-CRONIN
When I made the decision to leave teaching I knew I’d need to choose a new path. Always a “maker”, I started repurposing and painting furniture with my husband’s help. The artistic skills I had developed throughout my life included sewing, upholstery, interior design, and DIY projects of all sorts, working perfectly with my new career as a furniture artist. Today I feature an assortment of furniture pieces and home decor in the shop. In addition, I work directly with clients to customize their pre-owned pieces, bringing their vision to reality. This new path has fulfilled a dream and provided me with the opportunity to find balance in my personal life while doing a “job” that I love!
SUZY CLASBY
Hi, I’m Suzy. After 20+ years as a social worker, I “jumped” and walked away from my career to follow a new path. During a mental health break, I discovered furniture refinishing—and it changed everything. What started with a roadside find (thanks to my husband Steve!) became a passion that brought calm, creativity, and purpose.
With Steve’s support, I began selling from a small booth at Salvage Angel, where I met my business partner, Sandy. During the pandemic, we took another leap and opened our shop with the goal of creating a warm, welcoming space filled with meaningful pieces while supporting local makers.
They say when you’re doing something you truly love, it doesn’t feel like work—and that couldn’t be more true.
